There were small numbers of studies of Clinical Information System interventions as the primary element but the results show benefits for both professional and patient level outcomes.

Biological therapies bind to TNF substances to block the body’s inflammation response. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration approved these medications for the treatment of moderate to severe Crohn’s disease that does not respond to standard therapies—mesalamine substances, corticosteroids, immunosuppressive medications—and for the treatment of open, draining fistulas. Some studies suggest that biological therapies may enhance the effectiveness of immunosuppressive medications. Most people are first treated with medications containing mesalamine, a substance that helps control inflammation.

You can lower your chances of getting a chronic disease by keeping a healthy weight, eating healthy food, getting enough exercise and not using tobacco or drinking too much alcohol. His method, he said, is to be silent and spend "actual quality time" with the animal by observing them, seeing what triggers them, what they love, what they avoid and what they seek out. In the videos, Asher conveys the duality of emotions, alternating feelings of joy and sadness. But the common denominator in his stories of hope and resilience is that a rescued and adopted animal is capable of immeasurable love and loyalty if simply given a chance by prospective owners. "And once that dog truly understands that, that's when that beautiful bond starts to happen." "People have to see that this dog they are seeing in a shelter largely came from a breeder," he said. "It's not like this dog was born in a shelter. This dog was thousands of dollars at one point."

How Lee Asher is Revolutionizing Animal Rescue

"It was a huge eye-opener to me how many of these amazing, beautiful dogs exude love like this — that could be the best dog you could ever have — how many of them are going to be euthanized if we don't do something about it." Lee Asher is the founder of The Asher House, a nonprofit organization dedicated to animal rescue and advocacy. Before starting his dog-rescue journey, Lee had a well-paying corporate job earning six figures. He’s previously worked as a leadership development manager at Community Loans of America. Since 2017, Lee Asher has been living a van life with his dogs, and he has been to over 50 states around the United States of America. Sure, you could choose any puppy, or little lap-lovin’ fuzzball, but you got a bases-loaded, bottom-of–the-ninth home run right here with Dodger! I enjoy game time and sturdy kids, plus I get along great with other dogs, just don’t expect me to share the field with cats. Not only can I hit a home run, I also enjoy practice time to work on good manners, and am doing excellent with my crate training. I just need a loving family willing to step up to the plate and recognize what an All Star I am. For over two years, our Founder, Lee Asher, traveled across 49 states to promote dog adoption and spotlight various shelters and rescues. After his Pitbull Stella passed away, Lee was determined to fulfill his lifelong dream of creating a sanctuary, where animals could feel treasured, protected and free.

Pawsitivity, Love and Laughter

Also not always shown, is the "long road to recovery" for the more afflicted animals, Asher said, adding solemnly that "they don't always make it." Each of Asher's posts presents a short story imbued with joy and resilience and glued together by hope. During a recent appearance at Lynn University in Boca Raton, Asher spoke of desperation "to fit in" and feeling "very different" from his peers whom he watched succeed and thrive. The struggles worsened, and after a serious bullying incident, Asher was forced to change schools.

The hope is that the department is about to come under new management — by a reelected Trump, Mr. “I am your retribution” himself — that will welcome the allegations. House Republicans have all but folded the Big Top on the Biden impeachment circus. Many months after opening an inquiry oddly based on nothing more than to-be-determined charges, Republicans have no hard evidence of an impeachable offense by the president. Their supposed star witness was indicted for lying to the FBI.

Besides the partnership, Asher said he is "extremely grateful" for the kinship with the community of people in animal rescuing, fostering and sheltering. Asher's goal is to continue to develop his Asher House sanctuary model. Rather than a warehouse, Asher Houses are homes on expansive estates with fenced-in ranges where animals are allowed freedom of movement. Most often, Asher said, a pet is given up by an owner due to some unforeseen or unavoidable life circumstance. That realization is even more painful — the separation of a family from a pet they have loved. There are videos of the iconic "pack walks," where he is a Pied Piper followed by an array of his rescues.

He said that other dogs in the area were also impacted by the illness. The very day he lost Lilly, Asher rescued another St. Bernard, a 2-month-old puppy named Ranger. "It's really difficult to just kind of stand there waiting for it to be over and be able to bring the dog to safety," he said. "It's often quite emotional and it's really sad to know that people would do that to an animal that they are claiming they love." "I think when you really want a dog, let that energy calm down a little bit," he said.

He runs The Asher House, a registered non-profit sanctuary for dogs in Estacada, Oregon. Lee and Luke Barton started by adopting and fostering dogs from different shelters, and the population has grown. For over two years, Asher House Founder, Lee Asher, traveled across 49 states to promote dog adoption and spotlight various shelters and rescues. After his Pitbull Stella passed away, Lee was determined to fulfill his lifelong dream of creating a sanctuary, where animals could feel treasured, protected, and free. In late 2020, Lee discovered a large parcel of property which was the perfect setting to turn his vision into a reality. My name is Dodger, and on behalf of Family Dogs New Life Shelter I would like to thank you for taking the time to review my fellow canines and consider us for your family.

Fast forward to now, he’s been in rescue care and Ruger has undergone surgery to remove majority of the bullets, fragments were left behind as this was the safest option. He has a broken vertebrae and this is why you see him wearing a neck brace- we were told it shouldn’t be a forever accessory and he should have it off in a few short weeks. Ruger can and will live a very healthy long term life- he has nothing stopping him once his neck brace comes off.

Not revealed, he said, is the darker side, such as his contempt for those he knows are lying to him about their treatment of the animal they are abandoning. "People think if they are going to go to a shelter they're only going to see the dogs you see on TV that are psychologically and physically damaged and too much to handle." One of those he has featured is Matilda, a pit bull with a neurological disorder that makes her wobble as she walks.

But MAGA Sen. J.D. Despite the condition, which has markedly improved, Matilda has found acceptance at Asher's sanctuary and is another example that imperfection is no obstacle to love or happiness. One of them was a caramel-colored pit bull, Stella, whom Asher adopted the very day she was to be euthanized. "If you're suffering, instead of moping around, instead of thinking how can I feel better, what can I do to feel better?, if you make other lives feel better when you are suffering, nothing will heal you faster," he said. "Nothing will make you feel better than by taking away someone's pain. Nothing." Never miss out on what's happening with The Asher House Sanctuary and our furry friends!

"As I get older, I wonder how come more people are not doing this; it's just this awesome gift, to be saving dogs and cats, and saving other animals." Asher sold his belongings, bought an RV and began a two-year odyssey in which he visited animal shelters with his own pack of nearly a dozen dogs. "Hate, aggression, is never the answer, not toward animals, not toward people. There is no success reached that way." Adoption fee of $240 and includes microchip, neuter, free veterinary exam, leash/collar, food sample, toy & treat packet. The vast majority of animals in shelters, Asher insists, are not traumatized, starved or suffering extreme anxiety like the ones millions of Americans glimpse in television fundraising commercials aired by worthy animal rescues.

Before the coronavirus pandemic, Asher and his pack hosted adoption events in cities around the country to encourage people to rescue dogs rather than shop for them. Recently, Asher's events have been replaced with virtual meetings. As Lee navigates through grief, he finds solace in the memories and moments shared with Lillie. He expressed his gratitude for the support of his community and the opportunity to honor Lillie’s legacy through initiatives such as the Lillie Center, a quarantine facility dedicated to helping rescue dogs.

Single-family lease agreement

This is the basic terminology used when entering into a lease agreement. Basically, the lessee is the tenant entering into the contract, and the lessor is landlord renting out the property. It is important to know these terms as they are prominently used in most contracts for the rental of a property. Governing Law – A common clause included within a lease agreement, this term conveys that the tenancy is subject to local state laws. At some point during a tenant’s occupancy, there will be a time when the landlord (or their agent) needs to access the premises for essential purposes, e.g. repairs, general maintenance, emergencies, etc.

Ending a Lease or Rental Agreement FAQ.

This lease agreement is made between [Client.FirstName][Client.LastName] (“Owner”) and [Sender.FirstName][Sender.LastName] (“Renter”). Owner and Renter are each referred to herein as Party or collectively referred to as Parties in the following contract. The person leasing the house through this contract is [Sender.FirstName][Sender.LastName].

Once signed, the agreement is considered legally binding for both parties. A residential lease is a legal contract between a landlord and tenant for the rental of residential property. The landlord agrees to rent the space to the tenant in exchange for payment of rent. Typically, the rent is paid monthly, and the lease agreement lasts one year.

There are many ways to create a lease for your rental property – from writing the lease by scratch to using a template. But if you want to make the process as easy as possible from start to finish without sacrificing quality, Doorloop may be your best option. You’ll have the ability to set customized payment amounts and payment frequencies. You can even schedule rent increases in advance and add late fees to the lease. If your rental property is a commercial space, here’s a lease template you can use to rent it to a new business. An official contract that spells out the terms and conditions of two or more parties who are sharing ownership of a property is known as a Tenants in Common Agreement Template.

In addition, many states require written leases by law for any rental contracts of one year or longer. Landlords on an oral lease may also have serious limitations on things like the amount of security deposit they can legally collect. A rental agreement allows a tenant to live in a residential property in exchange for a rent payment to the landlord. There are many different kinds of rental agreements, suited to different tenant needs and rental situations. You can download your standard residential lease agreement template below in PDF and Word formats.

Once you’re happy to rent your property to a tenant, you must create a lease/rental agreement in the correct format. Hosting viewings can be inconvenient if you have multiple properties, so many landlords hire a property management company to show their rental units to potential tenants. Use this template if you don’t want to commit to renting out your property for a full year or more, but still need to protect your rights. Using a monthly lease allows you (and your tenant) to be flexible.

Our template allows you to customise a lease to your specific rental situation, whether it be a fixed-term or automatic tenancy (also known as a rolling, periodic, or month-to-month tenancy). It may be used when renting out a house, flat, house share, flat share, or room. You may also periodically need to renew a lease agreement with an existing tenant. This process is a bit different than signing a standard lease, so it’s important to ensure you have the right template. A good lease is the foundation of any strong landlord-tenant relationship.

Assigning a Tenancy Agreement means transferring lease interest to a new tenant. Unlike subletting, assigning means the original tenant gives away their rights and obligations to the new tenant. To assign a Tenancy Agreement, the parties use a Tenancy Assignment Agreement to outline the arrangement. Generally, the first step in attempting to break a fixed-term tenancy (where nobody has violated the tenancy terms) would be to discuss the situation with the other party.

You can use Jotform Sign, our dedicated e-signature tool, to create your own agreement. Jotform Sign automatically generates a PDF copy of the signed agreement that can be printed, stored, or shared. Plus, there’s no need to design a PDF agreement from scratch — just use one of our rental agreement templates. You can fully customize the template, add your own branding, modify the terms and conditions, and more.

A tenant can complete this checklist to examine the presence and condition of the furnishings and if there is any preexisting damage to the property. The required termination period may vary from state to state, so make sure to check the month-to-month termination laws. Beyond financial aspects, it establishes guidelines for maintenance, outlines conditions for terminating the lease, addresses potential property damage, and provides rules governing subletting or modifications to the premises. However, if you’d like to do so, you should make sure that the agreement contains all of the necessary provisions and legal protections.

Please note that the language you see here may change depending on your answers to the document questionnaire. Notarizing a lease, even when not mandated, may prove the validity of your agreement. An authorized agent or officer should sign for the company if the landlord is a business entity. The landlord agent should also note their official title immediately behind their name. It is far better business practice to keep security deposits in a fund to actually pay any costs appropriately charged against it, and give a fair refund. Sometimes rental agreements go so far as to prohibit even putting a nail in the wall to hang a picture. This may be a good place to add in information specific to this Rental Property.

Home Lighting, Indoor & Outdoor Lighting, Residential Lighting

To avoid blending the home into its environment too much, paint the top half forest green and the lower half white, as Marshall Watson Interiors did on this Michigan home. A bright white base with seafoam blue accents is a tried-and-true color combination. It’s especially ideal for a waterfront property or beach cottage like this Florida home by designer Ashley Gilbreath as it plays into the coastal environment. Dorling also said that when adding additional exterior lighting, don't overlook the importance of illuminating elements such as the stairs and house numbers. "You want your home to exude the same warmth and hospitality at night as it does during the day, and effective exterior lighting is pivotal in achieving this," she said.

Natural stone and architectural windows by Pella complete the Atlanta home’s fresh feel. "To ensure cohesion between the exterior and interior narratives of your home, it's crucial that they tell the same story," Dorling told BI. "Sometimes standing out is not a good thing, especially when you are the only Pepto-Bismol pink residence in a neighborhood of neutrals," Sarah Latham, principal designer of Latham Interiors, told BI.

Timeless Lighting Vintage and Contemporary

If your living room includes a TV, create a movie-theater feel with lights that don't cause shadows or glare. When it's on, dimmable sconces, track lights, and molding with uplights allow for safe movement without distracting from the action. Your dining room is where conversation and socializing happens, which means a dark, shadowy atmosphere is not ideal. Good overall lighting is essential, so ceiling fixtures, including flush-mount and recessed can lights, work well in dining rooms. The incident occurred moments after jury selection was completed in Trump’s hush-money case, the first criminal trial of an ex-President in U.S. history. Opening statements will start Monday in the first criminal trial of a former U.S. president.

If the interior has been remodeled but the exterior hasn't, you're also doing your home a disservice, Dorling said. Sarah Storms, owner and principal designer of Styled by Storms shared that too much clutter is overpowering to prospective buyers. When you're trying to sell your home, it's important to clean up outside in the name of curb appeal. Clean modern line meet traditional flair in the elegant Shelter Collection. This transitional collection of outdoor wall lights featurees a unique double-layered glass design that is both striking and simple. As transition areas between rooms, hallways don't pose as many specific lighting concerns as other spaces. Choose a flush-mount ceiling fixture for inconspicuous light, or attach a few sconces along the wall for indirect lighting. You don't typically need particularly bright light in hallways, so 5-10 lumens per square foot is generally sufficient.

Most kitchens, especially larger ones, will need several types of lighting for adequate illumination. For ambient (or overall) lighting, choose a ceiling fixture or recessed can lights that evenly distribute light around the space. Then install light sources directly above work spots to provide task lighting. Pendants (which should hang about inches above a surface) are a popular lighting option over an island, and undercabinet lights are great for food prep areas. A ceiling light revolution is underway, and we’re leading the charge.

Key takeaways from the final day of jury selection in Trump's hush money trial

Install an outdoor chandelier or pendant to bring farmhouse-style to your covered porch or patio. Use contemporary landscape lighting to carve a well-lit path through your property. Ambient lighting is the foundation of every space, providing the visibility and functionality that each room depends upon. Choosing the right modern light fixtures for your home is important.

The act occurred in Collect Pond Park, a designated protest area across the street from the courthouse, which was open to the public, according to Police Chief Jeffrey B. Maddrey. Police said they hadn’t received reports that Azzarello made any statements prior to setting himself alight. By evaluating paint colors at different times of day, you’ll get a better sense of whether or not you’ll like them in the long run. Even a little cloud cover can completely change how a color looks, turning it from a nice sage green to more of a '70s avocado.

For the Wyoming home of Emily Janak, the designer chose a black protective coating to update the previously mint green and white one. Solar options are an excellent alternative for those who don’t want to bother with wires. Though they won’t offer the same brightness level as 12-volt options, they’ll undoubtedly add ambiance. Now, finally, Congress is working to change the BOP’s noxious reputation with last week’s 41-1 approval of the Federal Prison Oversight Act, by the often partisan House Oversight and Accountability Committee. NYPD Chief of Detectives Joseph Kenny said police identified a vehicle that Azzarello may have used but were still working to locate it. Authorities spoke with his family, who said they didn’t know he was in New York.

Pair bright versions of them as exterior house colors, and your home will exude a lively energy that’s simultaneously calming. For this San Francisco Victorian, Kelly Finley used Benjamin Moore Imperial Yellow to blend the garage and siding, and Bedford Blue to cover the stairs and front door. If you have a Spanish Mediterranean Revival home, revive the exterior with a shade of yellow that’s reminiscent of a sunrise.

The flames continued to burn for a few minutes before a New York police officer ran toward Azzarello with a fire extinguisher. Maddrey said people used coats and fire extinguishers to help quell the flames. NYPD Chief of Department Jeffrey B. Maddrey said earlier that the man walked into the center of Collect Pond Park, which is directly across from the courthouse.

Historical Thriller 'Margrete Queen of the North' Official US Trailer

charlotte sieling

The world is now in total chaos, and we sit in our different countries and we’re nervous about what’s happening, and maybe we’re going back to isolation. We can sit here and talk on zoom, and watch a lot of films on the computer. What we need to do is to communicate, share, reflect and understand what life is about.

Queen Margrete (Trine Dyrholm) has achieved what no man has managed before. She has gathered Denmark, Norway and Sweden into a peace-oriented union, which she single-handedly rules through her young, adopted son, Erik. The union is beset by enemies, however, and Margrete is therefore planning a marriage between Erik and an English princess. An alliance with England should secure the union's status as an emerging European power but a breathtaking conspiracy is under way that can tear Margrete and all she believes in apart. Margrete - Queen of the North, also known as Margrete den første in Danish, is directed by Danish filmmaker Charlotte Sieling, director of the films Above the Street Below the Water and The Man previously, plus eps of "The Strain", "Queen of the South", "Homeland", "Lovecraft Country". The screenplay is written by Jesper Fink & Maya Ilsøe & Charlotte Sieling, from an idea by Lars Bredo Rahbek.

‘Margrete – Queen of the North’ Teaser, Poster Unveiled by REinvent, SF Studios (EXCLUSIVE)

It is implied that, with Scandinavian unity restored, the Teutonic Order calls off its planned invasion. Margrete eventually has a flash of inspiration and realises that the Man from Graudenz's story about an attempt on his life might be the root of the rumours that she had her son killed. She never gave any such order, and there is only one other person who would have had the authority to do so in her stead. She confronts Peder, who admits that he ordered Oluf's retainer to murder him and explains that he acted for the greater good, as Oluf would never have been an acceptable ruler for the Swedes in the way Margrete has been. It was therefore necessary to get rid of Oluf so that Margrete could retain power in Denmark-Norway and then take control of Sweden as well, thereby completing the Kalmar Union and finally bringing peace to Scandinavia.

This is the very territory where it all started, our story, all those centuries ago. This teaser is from a key scene in the film, when a shocking rumor reaches the castle and puts Margrete in an impossible dilemma, threatening to tear everything she has worked for apart. The magnificent costumes provide just the right armor and help transport us into a royal Nordic past with falconry, horseback riding on the stormy cliffs, where pirates are consulted and scolded. Yet, it is Margrete’s decision making, her intelligence and her achievements for peace that stay with you most.

Forty years later, and Margrete, now queen, has successfully united Denmark, Norway and Sweden under her rule, thereby founding the Kalmar Union and bringing a decade of peace to a region hitherto wracked by constant warfare. It was one of the largest productions in the history of Danish cinema, enjoying the largest budget ever for a Danish-language feature film.[4][5] It premiered on 16 September 2021. As we age, the emotions a character experiences, such as pain, joy, hope, and despair resonate more strongly with us. Whereas to our younger selves, these were simply dramatic concepts. This makes the experience of watching films uncomfortable because we sense and identify with realism. But her reign also saw a bizarre mystery in the Scandinavian region, which forms the emotional beating heart of this stately film.

Coming up - Charlotte Sieling and Trine Dyrholm on horseback riding, 'women peace', plant metaphors, working on a character and the architecture of the script with Jesper Fink, Princess Philippa, and pirates. Sieling previously worked with Malling and Oftebro in her 2017 feature The Man. She has also directed TV hits including Homeland, The Americans, The Killing and Borgen. Most recently, she directed HBO’s upcoming horror series Lovecraft Country.

Where to Watch

Without comparing ourselves to Shakespeare, we chose the theme and set it across nine days – it’s not a biopic of Margrete’s whole life. We chose that way of telling her story because we thought this is the real drama. How can the king keep his kingdom, and what does he have to pay for holding onto power? Fortunately in our world, it was a woman, and we could tell her true story. When you talk about age, we can also talk about culture and differences.

However, just as Margrete is about to slip out of the castle to rendezvous with Oluf and Asle, Jakob Nilsson arrives to see her, newly returned from his escapade in Prussia. Realising that Scandinavian unity is more important in the face of the Teutonic threat than her personal feelings, Margrete betrays Oluf, who is quickly recaptured by Erik's men. Margrete manages to persuade Erik to spare Asle, but Oluf is publicly burned alive as a traitor in front of his mother.

On the other hand, Asle Jonsson and the Norwegian councillors are adamant that the Man from Graudenz is Oluf, and the more Margrete speaks to him, the more she starts to wonder if he really is her son. A further element of doubt is introduced when she discovers that none of her councillors saw Oluf's corpse after his supposed death, as they were all too afraid of infection from the plague to open his coffin. In 1402, Margrete summons the leading magnates of the three kingdoms to Kalmar Castle to witness Erik's betrothal to Philippa of England, the daughter of King Henry IV of England. Philippa is accompanied by an English lord, William Bourcier, who has been tasked with negotiating the financial and political terms of the marriage agreement. Margrete is especially keen to establish a strong military alliance with England in order to deter attacks by the Union's German enemies, in particular the Teutonic Order, which rules Prussia and has also recently seized the Swedish island of Gotland. The Union [EU] is filled with political issues, national and personal that people want out of it.

While the plot is at times overstuffed with palace intrigues, this piercing character study carries a contemporary poignancy, as it encapsulates the difficult choices a female leader has to make in a world bounded by patriarchal control. Unlike, for example, Game of Thrones, this story has very real and accurate historical locations. How does one go about in getting this part as right as possible, some six centuries later?

The film will start shooting on March 2, with a premiere planned for spring 2021. REinvent Studios handles sales, as part of its new pact with SF Studios. The Danish actress plays Margrete I, who gathered Denmark, Norway and Sweden into a peace-oriented union. She began her career as an actress from the Statens Teaterskole in 1985. Sieling worked from 1985 to 1994 as an actor at various theatres, from the experimental stage to the Royal Theatre.

The ensemble consists of a Northern who-is-who, where Trine Dyrholm is given the top honour, and also the responsibility, to hold things together. Until Trine one day looked into my eyes at some little gathering… I didn’t know her that well before, but we ran into each other now and then and had good chats. It sounds spaced out, but I sometimes feel Margrete’s spirit hovering over this project, the way things turned out, the people who came on board, the way we got some important things done before the pandemic outbreak, including the financing.

One gets hold of a production designer like Søren Schwartzberg and a cinematographer like Rasmus Videbæk. Then one starts to draw every location, then build every interior that you see, except for two Czech castles where we used a staircase and some other small things. To further solidify her position and to help stave off a potential invasion from Germany, a marriage has been arranged between Erik and England’s Princess Philippa that will help create a new alliance. On the eve of the wedding, just as negotiations regarding the dowry have kicked into high gear, things take a turn when a man (Jakob Oftebro) arrives in court proclaiming that he, in fact, is the real King Oluf and therefore the true ruler of the land.

Making a Splash: Royal Caribbean's Category 6 Waterpark

cruise ship with water park

Norwegian, MSC Cruises and Royal Caribbean only began going big with waterslides on ships in the past decade or so. Many of the newest vessels from the brands have massive water park areas. Some of the brands are retrofitting big waterslides onto older ships, too. Meanwhile, fleemate Norwegian Escape’s water park includes a Free Fall waterslide, plus a feature called the Aqua Racer slide, a tandem set of waterslides in which competitors can race side by side in tubes. Mediterranean cruise line MSC Cruises aims to be family friendly, and it has solidified -- or, rather, liquefied -- this promise with a variety of water parks onboard its ships.

The AquaDuck spans over 750 feet of tubes that snake up, down and actually out over the side of the ships while providing incredible views of the sea—for those brave enough to look, that is! We love the AquaDuck because it’s a two-person raft ride that actually goes uphill like a roller coaster (thanks to water jet propulsion) before ending in a lazy river. At night, there are multicolored lights to make the AquaDuck even more spectacular. Norwegian Cruise Lines has some of the coolest water parks at sea on their Breakaway, Epic & Breakaway Plus Classes of ships. From high above the 17th deck, you’ll look out over the crystal blue waters as you’re about to slip and slide 200 ft to the pool below and think “I can’t believe I’m doing this in the middle of the ocean.” It’s pretty cool.

Note that Royal Caribbean's Navigator of the Seas also has a waterslide area called Perfect Storm — but it's completely different. Additionally, family-focused Disney Cruise Line now has major water attractions on all its vessels. But as recently as early 2016, Royal Caribbean didn't have a single waterslide on any of its vessels. Also included at the park located on the top deck is a 300-gallon PowerDrencher tipping bucket, kiddie spray park along with the nearby SkyRide which can already be found on Carnival Vista on Carnival Horizon and SportsSquare. While Thrill Island is chalked full of brand-new experiences, the cruise line is also bringing back some fan-favorites, including the FlowRider surf simulator and rock wall.

Pressure Drop – first open freefall slide at sea

Splashing around in a water park is one of the best ways to keep kids of all ages entertained during your cruise holiday, particularly on sea days. Cruise ship water parks are incredibly popular, so much so that almost every new family-focused cruise ship has one. With features such as swimming pools, splash areas, water slides, fountains and spray jets, there’s so much to keep kids of all ages busy. It’s not just about great cruise water slides with Royal Caribbean though. One of their signature water park attractions is the FlowRider surf simulator, which is available on almost all of their ships excluding a few of the smaller ones.

The Free Fall slide is the fastest and one of the most exhilarating slides at sea. Stand inside the capsule and wait until the floor drops away leaving you hurtling downwards at the speed of four Gs. Everything here is designed to be fun and active, with a focus on being outdoors for the entire family. Whether you have kids (or yourself) that want to take on the biggest waterslides at sea… or you’d rather find a spot on the deck to watch, Thrill Island looks to have you covered. The name “Category 6” is a playful nod to the intensity of hurricanes, and the waterpark lives up to this with six record-breaking slides that promise to deliver a rush of adrenaline.

Dedicated to maximizing time spent outside among sun and sea, Breakaway-class ships Norwegian Breakaway and Norwegian Getaway each have up to five multistory waterslides, including the scream-inducing Free Fall. Two side-by-side racing slides, known as The Whip, twist sharply into pools below and, of course, there's a family-friendly slide for the littlest splashers. Add in a giant dumping bucket and an enormous splash space and you’ve got a floating paradise for water park lovers. Plus, all that wet fun is topped off on both vessels with the addition of Bolt, by the only rollercoaster at sea.

The new vessel will also be featuring the first Sky Zone trampoline park at sea. It will be a 3,000 square foot two-deck facility providing a 12-lane trampoline court. Other highlights include Guy’s dedicated Pig and Anchor BBQ venue along with an onboard brewery and the popular SkyRide where guest can peddle slow or fast elevated above the top open deck providing stunning ocean views. Each of the Norwegian Cruise Line ships mentioned also boasts a children’s water park featuring such delights as tipping buckets, water cannons and life-sized pirate sculptures. Sport CourtA sport court is a must on a cruise ship, and Icon of the Seas’ court takes a prominent spot, raised up from the deck below and providing wide open ocean views.

The waterslides include two massive, 525-foot-long dueling slides that extend over the sides of the ship. The top of the Aqua Park on MSC Seaside is also home to the liftoff point for a zip line that soars 344 feet across the top of the vessel. Norwegian Bliss features a freefall waterslide called Ocean Loops that drops two loops -- both extending over the side of the ship with sections of see-through tubing. Norwegian Epic has a 200-foot Epic Plunge, beginning four stories above its pool deck and ending in a giant orange bowl. One of the line's newest vessels, MSC Seascape, aims to entertain the North American cruise market with its Pirate’s Cove Aqua Park, with an obvious pirate ship theme enhanced by virtual reality.

What are the restrictions for the slides in Category 6 Waterpark?

This is a great way to get a little surfing experience without having to brave massive ocean waves crashing down on you. Although if you want to keep it to a traditional water park experience, the primary water slide for Royal Caribbean is the Perfect Storm, a pair of racing slides that are sure to satisfy. Splash zones are great because children in swimming nappies aren’t allowed in any pool or hot tub on any cruise ship for hygiene reasons. So, a toddler splash zone is an ideal way for little ones to cool off on a hot day. Read on to find out more about the best cruise ship water parks and slides. Flow Rider surfing simulators have become synonymous with water fun onboard Royal Caribbean cruise ships.

Aside from choosing a great ship, it’s also important to think carefully about your itinerary and the time of year that you’re cruising. Whilst it is possible to ride the slides in the Mediterranean in January, it’s going to be pretty cold so your kids aren’t likely to have more than a couple of goes. The slides are also likely to be closed for much of the day if the weather is anything less than warm. The Twister Waterslide is one of the fastest you’ll find at sea, or indeed on land.

As of now, there’s no word on requirements to ride the waterslides in Category 6. When it comes to Royal Caribbean’s Icon of the Seas, there is plenty that’s completely new to the fleet. And the ship — the largest cruise ship on the planet — is arguably the most talked-about vessel ever to hit the water. Pressure Drop is a straight 108-foot drop, but what sets it apart is that it’s an open slide that has a 66-degree incline. Guests will have to push themselves into a near-vertical drop with an open tube. Category 6 Waterpark is located in the Thrill Island neighborhood on Deck 16 of the ship.

MSC Preziosa boasts the Vertigo slide, a 120-metre-long tube slide which includes a transparent section which goes over the side of the ship. You’ll also find a great kids waterpark on the deck below, with tipping buckets, climbing areas and small slides for little ones. Located inside the ship’s funnel surround it has a good amount of shade from the sun and features a shallow pool, fountains, spray nozzles, mini slides and a giant water bucket.

The cruise line’s chief fun officer and NBA Hall of Famer Shaquille O-Neal revealed the plans during a fun video press conference which we’ve included further below. Norwegian Escape features what is claimed to be the largest water park at sea, hosting four slides in total including the aforementioned Free Fall, along with the Aqua Racer in which competitors race side-by-side in tubes. Category 6 WaterparkPerhaps the biggest draw to Thrill Island is the massive (17,000 square feet) Category 6 waterpark that takes up almost the entire starboard side of the area.

The Epic Plunge begins four stories above the pool deck and features a 200-feet long flume which you can choose to ride with or without a tube. At the end of the slide is a huge bowl which you’ll swirl round and round before exiting at the bottom. Other MSC Cruises water parks at sea include the winter-themed Polar Aqua Park on MSC Meraviglia, which offers a suspended-in-the-sky ropes course in addition to four waterslides. On North America-based MSC Seaside, the Aqua Park has four waterslides and a children's play area with interactive water features.

The first step to building this brand-new neighborhood was to conduct research on the adventures themselves. "...We spoke to a lot of people about what they wanted to have [and] what they expected to experience," said Bayley. According to Michael Bayley, President and CEO of Royal Caribbean, "It is a thrill at every single turn. No matter what your age, you can have a great time on Thrill Island." Passengers who are not toilet trained are not allowed to use WaterWorks, even though the splash area looks perfect for toddlers. Adrenaline PeakRoyal Caribbean is famous for rock climbing walls on ships, and this iteration is dubbed Adrenaline Peak. There are five different lanes for climbing and it will also not just be a blank wall with some handholds.

So, if a great water park is a must, you’ll need to consider exactly what’s on board each ship. Choose a Royal Caribbean ship with the H2O Zone if you have kids still in swim diapers as this water park offers the littlest cruisers more of the water park attractions that are appropriate -- and safe -- for them. On ships with Splashaway Bay, those in swim diapers will be relegated to one small section of the larger play area. In addition to AquaDuck, the two Disney ships with the attraction (Disney Fantasy and Disney Dream) have a relatively small, kid-friendly waterslide next to the centrally located Mickey's Pool. Dubbed Mickey's Slide, it's held up by a giant Mickey hand, which is delightful. Plus, Disney Fantasy has a watery fun zone with water jets, geysers and bubblers called AquaLab.
